The Farm Estate
Corte dei Gioghi is located in the farm estate “Misericordia” (literally “Mercy”). The estate consists of 4.5 hectares of land and has been in the family for five generations. The main production is wheat and corn, but we also have a small production of tomatoes, aubergines, potatoes, salads, broccolis, radicchio, water melons, melons and peaches. These are mostly sold to local customers and can be also purchased by our guests.
From this year, we recently started growing fresh herbs such as oregano, sage, tarragon, mint, fennel, chives, marjoram, summer savory just to name a few. We dry out the leaves, we finely grind them, we mix them and then we store them in little jars. Our fresh herbs are delicious and highly suitable for the preparation of many exquisite recipes.
